Calling Down Athena and Hades!

For Challenge Six, each team was to call down one of their god parents to attack the other team!

Blue Team has called upon Athena, goddess of wisdom and strategy, arts and crafts, and battle and reason! I’m not too thrilled that my own mother will be attacking me, but maybe she’s okay with it after my interview with her about her owl.

Athena’s Fun Facts
*She has turned many people into monsters. Medusa was turned into a Gorgon. Arachne was turned into a spider. Also made a man blind.
*Athena is a very disciplined, quick thinking, and wise woman. She is very brilliant and always takes precautions before acting.
*Athena is also known for never giving up, and crossing her is a mistake.

Athena’s Appearance
*Long hair and intense grey eyes like Annabeth
*Can look like whatever she wants

Athena’s Abilities
*Prowess in Battle: as the Goddess of Battles, Athena is a great warrior, and a master of both armed and hand-to-hand combat, but frequently uses her wisdom to overcome her opponents instead of sheer force. During the first Gigantomachy, she was able to defeat the fire-breathing Enceladus (the most cunning Giant) with the help of Hercules.
*Divine Wisdom: As the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena is very wise, intelligent, and knowledgeable, constantly coming up with brilliant strategies. She was also able to see that Typhon was only a decoy in Kronos’ plan to defeat the gods. However, she tends to measure the odds without taking her own or others feelings into account, leading to her voting to destroy Percy in The Titan’s Curse (but she was out voted). Due to her wisdom, she was the one Zeus trusted to check on the imprisoned Titans in Tartarus.
*Shapeshifting: Athena can transform into an owl.
*Strategist: She is a skilled tactician (greater than Ares), since unlike him, Athena only uses violence as a last resort.

Red Team has called upon Hades, lord of the underworld and god of the dead and wealth! He is also one of the Big Three!

Hades’ Personality
*Hades is honorable, but a harsh. He respects oaths and the laws of morality. His respect for the law and his code of conduct is evident as he’s the supreme judge of the dead souls and of all creatures that traverse to the Underworld. He is also noted to be a hardworking and busy god.
*Despite his honorable habits, there is a cruel and darker side to Hades. He carries grudges for an extremely long time. His traits mirror that of his father Kronos in terms of cunning, ruthlessness, and deviousness.

Hades’ Appearance
*Hades is described as a god with albino white skin, intense black eyes that were either the eyes of a genius or a madman, and having a mesmerizing, evil charisma, and shoulder-length black hair.
*He often wears black silk robes with souls threaded into the cloth. In battle, he wears imposing black armor with a blood-red cape and his terrifying helm. He arms himself with both his two-pronged staff and his mighty sword.

Hades’ Abilities
*As one of the Big Three, Hades has the ultimate powers a god can possess, and is rivaled only by his brothers, Zeus and Poseidon.
*Geokinesis: As the god of the Underworld, Hades has absolute control over all the earth and stones, as well as the walls of the Underworld, Erebus.
*Ferrokinesis: As the god of wealth, Hades can sense and summon precious metals and jewels from under the ground, as well as manipulate them.
*Necromancy: As the god of the dead and ruler of the Underworld, Hades has divine authority and absolute control over the deceased.
**He can call forth endless waves of the dead to fight for him.
**He can destroy Skeleton Warriors.
**He can put the dead to sleep
**He can silence the dead wth a gesture
*Metamorphysus: He can capture and release living souls in a blast of yellow flames, shown when he abducted Sally Jackson.
*Death Sense: Hades can sense when a person is dying and when their soul is being judged in the Underworld. He can also sense people’s life auras.
*Death Curses: Hades is able to place curses on the living. While he is unable to kill people before the Fates decree its time, he can prevent a person’s soul from ever leaving their body, as he did with the Oracle. This will mean that a person’s body will eventually turn to dust with age and their soul will be lost forever.
*Monsters: Hades has absolute control over monsters native to his realm, such as the Hellhounds, Cerberus, and the Furies.
*Umbrakinesis: Hades has absolute control over shadows and darkness.
**He can surround enemies into pitch black clouds lightless space.
**He can shoot solid bolts of darkness.
**He can solidify shadows into shields, which are strong enough to deflect lightning bolts.
**Using shadows, Hades is able to travel anywhere he wants at very high speeds (Shadow Travel)
**He can use shadows to cover himself in darkness to become invisible.
*Dark Pyrokinesis: Hades has absolute control over black hellfire, which is considerably more destructive than normal flames, as it turns whatever it touches to liquid.
*Induced Terror: With his Helm of Darkness, Hades can radiate death and terror so intense, that it can unhinge people’s minds and stop their heartbeats. Also, the Helm allows Hades to become invisible, similar to Annabeth’s Yankee cap, though the Helm is described as much more powerful.

Hades’ Weapons
*Scepter
*Two-pronged staff
*Helm of Darkness
*His pet dog, Cerberus
*A sword

Good luck, demigods! We each have a hard battle in front of us. For Blue Team, the team leader, Kieran has voleentured to write the challenge. For Red Team, any takers? I’ll be glad to do it if no one else wants to.
