While the snowflake expanded, three things happened. One: he felt a presence inside of him. He felt stronger, more powerful. Two: several other campers gasped. Three: he turned white. Completely white. Then grew. Tall. Taller. Tallest. He was now back to normal, but the height of the monster.
Meanwhile, the snowflake was under the monster had started shaping around his feet, until it looked like he was wearing ice boots. It kept on going up, until Typhon’s belly. His lower half was completely frozen, which made him unable to walk. It kept going until the monster was completely frozen. Then there was a huge BLAST, and Typhon exploded. A shower of yellow dust doused the campers.
Nick was back to normal size, and standing in front of him were Zeus and Hera.
“You have done well,” said Hera. A faint smile played on her lips. “You are now the immortal god of snow.”
There was a festival after that, following the tons of cheering.
But Nick had a wish, a wish that Zeus had granted. He could stay as the immortal god of snow, with a gold throne on Olympus, but he could interfere with demigod quests and activities.
And he was happy.
