Jake Abel who plays Luke Castellan in both Percy Jackson movies is now set to star in a World War II movie based on real events, “Ghosts of the Pacific”. Jake Abel will be starring alongside Tom Felton (Malfoy in Harry Potter) and Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope).
The film follows three WWII soldiers who are cast adrift on the Pacific Ocean when they are forced to ditch their plane. Garret Dillahunt plays pilot Harold Dixon, Tom Felton plays bombardier Tony Pastula, and Jake Abel plays radioman Gene Aldrich. Based on real events, the three are virtual strangers when assigned to go on a scouting mission together in 1942, and must rely on each other for survival when they are stranded in a yellow raft with no food, water or supplies. Filming begins on April 15th at Baja Studios in Mexico, home of the largest outdoor water tank in the world which was built for James Cameron’s “Titanic.”
Since Jake Abel plays Luke in PJ and we all think Tom Felton should play Octavian, it looks like there might be a pre-reunion!
