New Cast Members for The Sea of Monsters

New Cast Members for The Sea of Monsters

Shanica Knowles is rumored to be casted for the part of Thalia Grace. She appeared in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana and in the Disney Channel movie Jump In!.

Joshua Drew is rumored to be casted for the part of Nico di Angelo. Nico doesn’t appear in the books until The Titan’s Curse. Luckily, its only a rumor at the moment.

Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, and Jake Abel will all return to reprise their roles.

what? that doesn’t even fit. hmm. what feature does Thalia possess? electric blue eyes. you see that in Shanica? yeah, sure you do.

Okaaay…way too much racism, but she hasn’t been cast. Nico di Angelo appears in thr Titan’s Curse, not the Sea of Monsters..

Making her Thalia seems okay though but they have to make Nico A KID I MEAN SERIOUSLY THEY MADE THE ACTOR FOR PERCY AS 12 YEARS OLD A 19 YEAR OLD THEY NEED TO GET THE AGES RIGHT AND THEY SHOULD NOT LEAVE OUT BIANCA DI ANGELO

I don't see zeus in her

  7. piper - February 6, 2012

i think she could do well…..but then jason would have to be black. i so cannot imagine that.

  8. giulie - January 26, 2012

i think that it doesnt matter who plays thaila as long as they play ehr the same way that she is in the books

I love the books and honestly… yeah i guess it's kind of unfair. But i bet that they will make Shanica look like she is in the book anyway they only cast who is good not who looks like each other… thats what hair and make up is for. Also all of you… besides digge are being racist i mean common its not like its true! ITS A RUMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thalia Grace is NOT BLACK. They need to STOP GETTING THINGS WRONG. Watch them make Beckendorf white. If they do, I'm gonna cry.

That's kinda racist…:/ Anyways, she could be. It's not the book. I'm sure you argued when they caste Grover, but I think they made a great choice in the picking.

I don't really think thats racist everyone knows Zeus isn't black from the drawings on the site which means that whoever Thalia's mom is would have to be black but Shanica looks like shes not mixed at all. It just would be a shock. For me I actually always pictured Grover the way they casted him I found Brandon to be the perfect Grover in every way. I have nothing against Knowles but I have to agree with the 1st guy to post it just seems like not the right choice and once again going away from the book ahem Annabeth's casting. And as for the comment it's not the book….actually I hate to break it to you but its based off the book which means they should stick as close to the book as possible which means sticking to character description and plot. I love the PJO series but if they want to at least get in the same level as the HP movie series they need to start sticking to the book more strictly. Who knows they might be able to fix some things that they screwed up in the 1st one but things like casting are kinda permanent so they should get it right:/

Of course at some point you have to look at it that the gods are gods and don't really have to follow any rules and can look like what they want to look like.

      • kraotnians - March 14, 2012

well duhh..that's grover its different when it comes to thalia do u want jason to be black??

    • Janae - June 13, 2013

Actually, I’m completely in agreement with #PJOfan. Even though this rumor has already been dispelled, if Shanica had been cast as Thalia, I for one would’ve been annoyed. And I am black. It’s the same way that I will be annoyed if they make Silena black or Beckendorf white. They are my two favorite characters and, especially in Beckendorf’s case as he’s the only black character featured prominently in the books, it’d be a pretty hard blow if it turns out that he’s been whitewashed.
