Yes, they are 12 in the book. But I supposed in the movie they made the story later, with older characters. Because I can't remember saying them they are 12 (in the movie). So, the difference doesn't mean so much for me but I hate other things like where is the blonde Annabeth? o_O (despite of I like Alexandra Daddario)
I agree with you!!! They are too old! And, they changed way too much in the movie. They shouldn't have messed it up that much
