Percy Jackson Goofs
I was on IMDB looking at the goofs for Percy Jackson. There was only five goofs listed. Did you catch any mistakes other than the ones listed below? Add a comment if you saw any others.
Revealing mistakes: When Percy, Annabeth and Grover come to Luke to ask for help he is playing Call of Duty with a Playstation 3 controller while on screen Xbox 360 buttons are seen.
Revealing mistakes: In the scene in Auntie Em’s. Where Annabeth first runs into Medusa, she is wearing a turban. According to lore, Medusa has a head full of snakes, rather than hair. In that scene there is a small piece of blonde hair visible peeking out of the right side of the turban. Uma Thurman has blonde hair.
Revealing mistakes: When Medusa first notices Percy she puts her glasses on the crazy lady’s statue but when they are later seen with the head she has glasses on.
Continuity: After Percy enters the Lotus Casino in Vegas, the designs on his blue shirt are suddenly gone.
Continuity: Pigeons outside the window of Percy’s house disappear and reappear between shots.

All Five Percy Jackson Books Make Top Ten of Best Sellers
All five books of Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series have made top ten of USA Today‘s This week’s top 150 best sellers. The Lightning Thief came in second right after The Best selling book, Dear John. The Sea of Monsters came in forth. The Titan’s Curse in sixth. The Battle of the Labyrinth in seventh. Lastly, The Last Olympian in tenth. The books sells, obviously, have gone up from the movie. Hopefully parents will discover these books rather than continuing to read their kids the magic of the Harry Potter‘s series.

Percy Jackson vs Harry Potter: Round 3
In the last post of this series we saw that Percy Jackson had the cooler weapon over Harry Potter. Today we will look at who has the better powers.
Magic and Powers
Percy Jackson has a fixed amount of powers that he can do. He can just be creative and explore his limits with water. Also water is the only thing that he can use his powers with and draw power from.
Harry Potter can learn how to do about anything other than trying to raise the dead. However the only fallback is that he needs to have a wand to channel his powers (it is possible to do magic without a wand but it is unfocused). A powerful wizard can do magic without speaking but most need to be able to speak to use magic.
Eragon Shadeslayer has powers that are based from the ancient language. His magical powers are limited to both his vocabulary in the ancient language and his strength. Magic consumes energy so that if you try to do something like lift a mountain it will consume your strength and kill you. This is my favorite magic because of the limitations on the magician.
If the three fought using only their magic and Percy was standing in water, especially ocean water I believe that it would be pretty much a tie between the three. Only creative magic would ultimately win.

JazWares, Inc is the maker of the new Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief action figures, pen, and sword. At Toys R Us they range from $5.99 to $14.99.
The one thing that I did not see was an action figure of Annabeth which I thought to be a little odd.
