Logan Lerman is not being considered to replace Tobey Maguire in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.

Lerman, during a radio interview let it slip that he was in talks to play a young Peter Parker in the planned reboot version of the superhero movie. However, Sony Picture bosses deny any “talks” are taking place and insist that they are still on the look out for someone to play the budding superhero.

But 18-year-old Lerman says he’s not giving up on the dream. During an interview with WENN, he said “It’s a role that any actor would die to play. It’s an iconic character and I’m hoping to be considered for the part. I’d be ready to put on 20 pounds of muscle. I’d have to drink a lot of protein shakes!”
