An Update from Patrick on the Percy Jackson 3 Script!

An Update from Patrick on the Percy Jackson 3 Script!

First off, I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas! I can’t believe 2015 is right around the corner. With being personally busy and a lack of news, sorry there has not been too many posts on PJM. Patrick sent me a email updating us on his progress with the Percy Jackson 3 script he is working on.

Hi Rebecca,

I hope your holidays are going well. Mine are going pretty good; I’ve been keeping busy with the Percy Jackson treatment/script which is going really well, but that’s what I’m writing to you about.

I’ve recently had to overcome some personal issues which have worked themselves out, along with needing a much needed period of relaxation from school and the personal issues, both of those leaving me quite exhausted. I’ve also gotten held up in a Christmas project suffering from technical difficulties that ended up taking a lot longer than expected.

As well, you may have heard recently that the Sony hackings revealed some information about their plans for the future of the Spider-Man movies. There is now talk of ANOTHER reboot series planned, with Logan Lerman, aka our beloved Percy, being the front running contender to be Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Now if he does take the role, then there is a good chance that he will not be able to play Percy anymore. It could possibly work out for him to play both Spidey and Percy, as Jennifer Lawrence got to star in both the Hunger Games movies and the X-Men movies, but as Logan would have to play the main character in two series, along with the fact that that if this reboot happens, there is a good chance it will happen with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would mean he would also appear in other movies/tv & Netflix shows connected to the other movies in the series, then it would be difficult to work out. If it helps, there is petition here to help keep current Spider-Man Andrew Garfield in the role: There is no guarantee that he will get the role, but one can never know. Like the Percy movies, the Amazing Spider-Man movies mean a lot to me, they being some of my top favourite movies of all time, and i’ve had to work on a project of support towards them too.

Regardless, this Percy Jackson project is still a main priority of mine, and I promise I WILL be able to send you some notes and potentially the treatment within a couple of days before the New Year. If you could please share this on the site it would be greatly appreciated. :)

I’m really sorry for the delay, but now my priorities and life are in better balance now so I will be able to work full steam towards this projected goal that I promised you guys. Thank you for your consideration and understanding :)

    No, Andrew Garfield is amazing!!!

    Who is this guy?

A Kane Chronicles film series would be awesome, as long as it’s accurate – if not, there are fan made ideas for a PJO animated series, like How to Train Your Dragon has (each book is a season, each chapter is an episode, short stories are one hr specials etc) I would prefer for Andrew Garfield to stay as Spiderman, I’m not a huge DC or Marvel fan but from what I can tell he fits the role pretty well

If it fails and Logan is unable to play Percy anymore, I suggest you might start writing an adaptation of “Th Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid” instead.

They can always get a new Percy. He’s replaceable, we all need to be realistic on this.

I swear dude. The entire cast could do with some sort of overhaul. And the movies could definitely do with more accuracy. Logan’s definitely replaceable. And alexandra needs to be replaced too.
